Situated in the rural community of Northall in the county of Buckinghamshire, nestling in the lee of the northern spur of the Chiltern Hills at the eastern edge of the Vale of Aylesbury.
The Village of Northall falls within the Parish of Edlesborough, which comprises three villages also including Dagnall. The Parish is bounded to the south by Hertfordshire and to the north and east by Bedfordshire.
All three villages have their own village hall, playground and local pub. The larger village of Edlesborough also includes some local shops and garage.
The close by Market Town of Leighton Buzzard provides all the usual shops and facilities; Waitrose, Costa, boots etc. Milton Keynes is easily accessed by car for a more serious shopping experience.
Football, Cricket and Tennis clubs are all available at Edlesborough, with most other sports catered for in Leighton Buzzard. Dunstable Downs, and Ashridge Golf Clubs are both close by, as is Dunstable Downs Gliding club.
Junior Schooling locally is provided for at Dagnall, and at Edlesborough Schools. Older children are catered for through the Buckinghamshire Grammar school system, via the 11+ entrance exam.
Private schools locally are excellent and headed by Beechwood School at Markyate and Berkhamsted Collegiate.
Accessibility
Despite the rural nature of the location, all major transport links are right on the doorstep. Hazeldene provides an ideal location with direct access to all major commuter routes closeby.
The Midlands Silverlink train line is accessed at Leighton Buzzard station, 6.5miles, with a direct service to London Euston in 34 minutes, and Milton Keynes in 13 minutes.
Luton Airport is within easy reach by car, only 15.5 miles distant.
With the new Leighton Buzzard bypass recently opened, access to Milton Keynes and the M1 heading north is extremely quick and easy. The M1 heading south is 8 miles away at Dunstable junction 12.
